The American Idol episode tonight is not as great as the past 2 weeks where the two Filipinos, Camille and Jasmine were selected as finalists. Iba talaga ang Pinoy! :)

I'm still working on our website. Not sure when I can officially share it to everyone. I'm still having second thoughts on the background, what font to use, what other useful links I can put.. Oh well, for someone as fickle-minded as I am, it's not a surprise at all. ;)

Our part-time maid did a good job again! With that, we agreed to have a more permanent arrangement to have her do our ironing twice a month. She's a nice person and really hardworking. We're impressed..

Two more days and it's the weekend! Yipee!

~I've finally loaded our wedding pics! Whew!! Though they are just raw pics, I love most of the shots.. Too bad that some of the details were missed out. I trusted their instinct too much. I should have given them a list of the priority shots to be taken.. Oh well, like my husband said, we had a great wedding and that matters more.. :)

~Ronald and I watched "Something's Gotta Give" last Sunday. Who would've thought that a 50-yr. old woman and a 60-yr. old man, would appear so cute and funny in a movie? It's a really nice lovestory. Thumbs up!

~Hope to catch Big Fish on the big screen this weekend! :)

Monday will soon be over..
It's never a good idea to stay up late following a work day.. I've been so engrossed with surfing and building up our personal website that lately I go to bed only after 12am if not 1am!

Just today, I woke up with a slight headache. Since I failed to prepare my clothes to wear for work, I crammed looking for just the right blouse and pants! This morning, I accidentally locked our bathroom, which has a weird lock by the way (not your usual lock and key), so I can't go in to fix my hair! So I still managed to use the other bathroom and with much apprehension (since I felt like I wasn't ready to go to work), I left home.

Right when I reached the guardhouse, the rain came pouring down! Arrghh!! I didn't have an umbrella with me! Since it has always been easy to get a cab from the corner of the condo, I walked briskly to that spot to get a cab. But lo and behold! There was no empty cab in sight!

My impulse was to call my husband and complain. Yada.. yada.. yada.. Then I decided to go home and take a half-day leave. But when I got a message from my officemate that there were some support calls to attend to, I just changed my clothes and head to the office!

So thank God that today will soon be over! I'll try to catch up with my sleep so I'd have a better working day. :)

It has been 2 1/2 years since I moved to Singapore. In those years, there were times when I felt that the people and things I've left behind like my family, my friends and even my room, will always remain the same.

But just as how time flew so fast for me, that in 2 1/2 years I've already achieved my dream of independence and now that I'm married, I realized that things back home have never stopped changing.

Each time I come back home to be with my family, I am saddened to see how my parents have aged in just so short a time. More often than not, I would cry in my prayers to ask God to always keep them healthy and happy. Same thing goes to the rest of my family and friends.

We all have our own reasons for staying with our own families or moving away to achieve our dreams. I think in this area, there is no right or wrong answer. But for me, it's the distance that has helped me to cherish my family and friends more than ever.

May God bless them all! :)

Every now and then, I'm reminded of an old cliche, "You can't make someone love you." No matter how you try to please a friend, seek approval of your boss or someone close to you, you can't force the other person to totally accept and/or love you. The other person has to voluntarily do it.

At times it can be painful that even if you try to be the best person you are, still, it doesn't measure up to the other person's standards.

It's just comforting to know that our lives on earth are not dependent on other people's approval but of God's. We may gain all the praises and approval of men, but if it's God whom we fail, then everything else become worthless.

Highlights of my weekend:

-- Our second trip to KL went well. The VIP coach we took was really comfy and I didn't feel jittery or unrelaxed during the 5-hr trip. The highlight of the trip was our Petronas visit. We weren't able to go up to the Petronas bridge (linking the two towers) during our first trip coz we came in late to avail of the tickets. So we made it a point to come in early this time. They have a clean monorail too, or maybe because it's new. :) It saved us a lot of time walking around.. ;)

-- My in-laws, who came to KL from Manila, brought our wedding video and high-res photos from our supplier. After all the overseas calls, clarifications and requests to Jorge Portrait, we finally got the high-res photos we wanted! We initially got low-res and all along I thought that's all we'll get. Imagine the frustration! But we're glad that it's over. We watched the video as soon as we got home last night from our trip. It was beautiful! Though you can't put in all the scenes in a 45-minute video, most of the highlights were there. We didn't get bored.

Watching the video for the first time made Ron and I cry a bit while we reminisce all the happy moments that have happened since we went home on December 2003. I guess I have to spend another time, to pour in all my thoughts about this one. I surely miss my family! :)

-- I'm almost through browsing the 6 cds we got. I have chosen a lot of pics to be posted in our website. I wish I can finish posting them soon!

It's already Tuesday, 12:46am, and I've to hit the sack.

Sporadic Thoughts
----Today's quite a long day.. Coming home from work, I cooked our dinner coz over the weekend we bought a lot of raw stuff (veggies and meat). Thanks to Del Monte cookbook! :)

----We have a new part-time maid!!! From all the other maids we tried, this one's the best by far! She works fast.. Finished our 2 wks worth of clothes in 3.5 hours tonight! She's nice, too!

----We've started printing the envelopes for our thank-you cards. I wasted a few before I finally got the printing right.. Anyway, we still have a long way to go... I can't wait to finish all of it!

I'm just tired now and ready to doze off.. :) I'm beginning to be addicted to this blog-thing.. ;)

Our Thank You Notes
I've always thought that I have a tinny-winny knack for designing and making personalized cards.. So, there I was, took advantage of my sick leave to start conceptualizing our thank you cards.. But I admit, I did it with a "little" help from PrintMaster sofware.. haha.. Ok, ok, maybe I don't really have the knack for it but at least I tried.. hee..

I'm now down to writing the names on the cards plus our personal "thank yous". And boy, for someone who has been soooo dependent on computers for so long, I now realized how important it is to keep a good handwriting! My teachers back home would be very dissapointed to see my writing.. :(

I'm targetting to finish all of it tomorrow. We're still waiting for the high-res photos so we can work on developing them to go with the thank-you cards.

After that, I'll be back to fix our website. I'm sooo excited to publish it soon!
